We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. I really never understood what it meant to see Christmas though a child's eyes until we had our children. This year it was in full force, they were so excited and understood it a little bit more.
We spent Christmas Eve at Corey's sister's house. A night full of wonderful food and so many presents you could hardly find the tree! Corey's brother and his family were home from China so it made the evening extra special. We certainly miss having them around and were super excited when they told us they were coming home for Christmas!
The next morning Santa came! Victoria was not as excited as we thought she would be. I think they were a little overwhelmed with everything that was going on. We had our normal steak & shrimp dinner with my family and then opened another large pile of presents.

Now this picture comes with a story! All during the Christmas season we talked about Santa. The kids would point to him and say Santa every time we saw a Santa. We also had a blow up Santa in the front yard...so they got really use to seeing Santa and saying Hi to him. We told Victoria that we would take her to see Santa and she could sit on his lap and take a picture.
She kept saying," I sit in Santa's lap" So we thought maybe she would actually be excited to sit in his lap. We ended up going Christmas Eve to see Santa and as soon as we got there she got so excited and kept waving and saying hi. Then as soon as it was our turn...total 180...started crying and didn't want to do it. She she sat on my legs and i was next to Santa....as you can see Caleb was not so happy either!
Maybe one year they will actually like him???
The best surprise of the Christmas season was telling Corey's family that we were having another baby! We got a card and put the sonogram picture in it and wrote " grand baby #10, due July 30 2009"
They were totally surprised and didn't expect it at all!
We had a great Christmas. We also tried to make sure and tell the kids the reason behind Christmas and that it was Jesus' birthday. I don't know how much Victoria understood but she really liked saying Happy Birthday Jesus.
