Disney 2011

We were so incredibly blessed to be able to take a vacation to Disney World this November. I have been wanting to take the kids for a while and researched that November would be a great time to go, and it was! The weather was beautiful, it wasn't horribly crowded and it was already decorated for Christmas! Corey's parents came with us and it was such a treat to have them there. I know they really enjoyed seeing Disney through the eyes of our children.
Here is a glimpse of our timeline-
We left Monday Nov 7 from our house at 4:45 am. The kids did awesome waking up that early! Got to the airport and didn't have too much time to waste. Our flight left around 7am and was about 2 hours long. The kids did great on the flight. I sat next to Caleb and Christian and Corey sat with Victoria. We had 2 cell phones and a touch pad with plenty of movies for them to watch while we were in the air. I was shocked at how well they did! We got to Florida and hopped on the Magic Express but that took us to our hotel, The Grand Floridian. It was such a beautiful hotel. It was a Victorian themed hotel and just gorgeous! It had a monorail attached so that came in handy!!
We ate lunch and then headed to Magic Kingdom. We were not there too long when we saw there was going to be a show in front of the castle so we grabbed a seat and waited. The minute the characters started to come out the smile on my children's face's brought me to tears. I was so happy at the joy it brought them. They have been obsessed with mickey mouse for almost 3 years. We explored a little more of MK and then went back to our hotel where we had a character meal at Park Fare. It had Cinderella,Prince Charming, the step-sisters and fairy God-mother. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever that they got to take pictures with everyone. In fact, that was Caleb's favorite part of the whole trip!
Tuesday we went to Hollywood Studios.
It was so much fun. We took the big kids on the Star Wars ride, I was the only one that got nauseous!!!
Victoria was brave and rode the  tower of terror with daddy and grand daddy. We watched a parade, got some Toy Story toys and had lunch. The kids got to meet Buzz and Woody and they were over the moon about that! Tuesday night we went to Whispering Canyon for dinner and it was amazing. All 3 kids fell asleep and didn't eat much but who can beat a meal with all you can eat BBQ and milkshakes!! My favorite part of this night was that we had to take a boat back to the Magic Kingdom, on our way back we were able to see the firework show from the water. It was absolutely breathtaking! The kids were awake and oooed and awwed the whole time!

Wednesday we headed to Animal Kingdom for a 10am breakfast at the Tusker House! We were able to see Donald,Daisy, Mickey,Minnie and Goofy. The kids had such a great time and Loved seeing all the characters.
Then we headed to Mt Everest and rode the roller coaster. I was scared to death and was holding onto Caleb in fear that he would fall out. It was pretty intense for the big kids even though they met the height requirement. When they got off they looked a little white and said their throats hurt :(  We then walked to the dinosaur part and checked all that out. We caught a Nemo show and then decided it might be good to go back to the hotel and let the kids nap. We were SO wrong. We got back to the room and the only person that went to sleep was Victoria. We ended up eating dinner at the hotel that night and going to bed early.
Thursday we headed back to Magic Kingdom. We rode It's a small world, Peter Pan, Dumbo and much more. We caught lunch at the Hot Dog place(can't remember the name) caught another show and parade. We had dinner reservations at Garden Grille which was at Epcot. We took the monorail to Epcot, ate dinner with Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale and took the monorail back to Magic Kingdom. We caught the tail end of the light parade and then the firework show. It was so amazing and the kids loved every second of it all. After the firework show we headed to Tomorrow Land and rode Space Mountain. Thankfully the little ones didn't ride that one, I was worried that my FIL's neck was going to break!! This was a late night but we were able to see the castle lit up which just so happens to be Victoria's favorite thing!
Friday we had to get up early and head back to Epcot to have breakfast with all the princesses! It was amazing. Victoria was in princess heaven. We were able to see Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Snow White and Belle. Victoria loved getting her picture with each one, she even let me in on a few!!
We spent the rest of the day walking around and exploring all Epcot had to offer. We got ice cream, played in  a water spout fountain and the kids rode Soarin with everyone but me & the baby! We ended our time there with mexican food and more walking!
Saturday was our last day there:( We packed up our things, took them down to the lobby and headed back to Magic Kingdom. This time we went to Frontier Land and rode all the rides there. Caleb rode splash mountain with Corey and G-daddy. He loved it! We ate lunch and then proceeded to leave and it was just in time to catch the parade. The kids were always SO excited to see the parade. Victoria loved to take pictures of it with her phone. We dropped off our stroller, got our last Mickey ice cream treat and walked out of the Magic Kingdom with sad faces. The kids were not quite ready to go home and I might have shed a tear or two on the monorail. I wasn't ready either. Even though it was incredibly exhausting it was magical. Seeing how happy it made my children was just priceless. Something I will never forget! I'm really glad that we took them at this age. Corey questioned it because he thought they might be too young, but I thought it was perfect. They are in love with all the Disney characters and that might be something we would have missed out on had we waited.
So, thank you Jeanne and Charles for giving us a gift of a lifetime. It will never be forgotten!
 The best trip EVER!

I'll do a post with my favorite pics soon!
